Ceramic Altar Handbuilding Workshop
Create a ceramic altar by hand in this beginner-friendly clay workshop designed for everyday ritual and personal practice.
In this hands-on class, you’ll learn foundational handbuilding techniques to shape a small altar, tray, or vessel intended to hold meaningful objects, candles, crystals, offerings, or whatever anchors your daily rituals. We’ll work slowly and intentionally, focusing on form, texture, and purpose, allowing the clay to respond to your hands rather than rushing toward perfection.
No prior clay experience is needed. This workshop welcomes both first-time makers and those returning to clay as a grounding, tactile practice. You’ll be guided through the process while leaving space for personal symbolism and design choices.
Your piece will be fired and finished after the workshop, becoming a lasting object you can return to again and again.
